Private house Investigation - Sunbury
Investigation Date: 9 March 2011
Conducted and written by Jim - Medium for SouthWest London Paranormal
We were asked to attend a house in Sunbury due to the owner having problems around the house, and wanting to know if they were paranormal. For the sake of keeping this investigation confidential we shall call the owner Tracie, and her friend Lisa.
Tracie first explained to us that the dead bolt on the back door had once been found to have come open and no one in the house had touched it. When looking at lock it was really quite stiff and needed to be lifted to get it open. We could find no reason as to why this would have happened.
Her next account was some time back, it appeared that her mother had felt someone was trying to push her down the stairs. There were two possibilities for this one will be revealed later in the report, the other was the fact the stairs were narrow and steep and she could have been disorientated.
Tracie also tells of the time the bathroom door locked its self and her father had to break the lock to get in. In addition there were a number of unexplained sounds within the house.
Before we began, we decided to have a walk around to familiarise ourself and to ascertain which, if any rooms we could elimate. First we checked downstairs and all seems peaceful and calm and no untoward things could be felt. We moved upstairs checking out the first bedroom on the right of the stairs, then along the hallway to the master bedroom. It has to be said that all of us felt sick at one point, and believed that there was something there that needed our help.
After a chat and a cupper we went back upstairs to the first bedroom. We could feel something in here, but nothing that stood out. As we made our way along the landing there was a strange smell that was noticed by more than one of us; a smell of tobacco, but no one was smoking.

Tracie's House
Those present: Jim, Jane, Sue, Dawn, Host Tracie, and friend Lisa
The Master Bedroom
We began by shutting the door and turning off the light and then waited a few moments so our eyes could be accustomed to the darkness. When things had settled many were surprised to see that we had been greeted with dark shadows going around the room. Jim said he was picking up on more than one spirit here, and one was a child. There were a number of taps, but no response was received when we asked for the taps to be repeated.
Jim asks the team to form a circle and do a séance, this time he invited Tracie and Lisa to join the group. First of all Jim could feel the spirit of a young boy running around as if he was just playing. He called out for the spirits to make themselves known to us. Lisa said she felt as if something had touched her and her legs were cold. Quite a few others also had cold around their legs, but the room was warm and all the doors and windows were shut.
Jim said he was getting a tapping noise like someone walking with a walking stick and asked Tracie if she had heard anything like that. She replied "Yes" it was one of the things she had heard at times. Jim continued by saying he could see someone moving around the bedroom. Dawn asked if it was on the bed, as she could see something funny, as if it was moving and Jim agreed with her.
Jim called out again for any spirits to come forward and make themselves known and after a while he went in to a trance and picked up on an old man. Jane asked for his name, but Jim was unable to give it. She asked "How long ago he had passed over" and he responded "12 years". Sue could then smell what she thought might be pipe tobacco. Jim informed the group that this old man was lonely and has asked for help to cross him over, which they did.
Following this we had a short break and then continued with the séance. After a while Lisa said it had gone dark behind Jane and Dawn. Dawn also jumped as she saw a shadow move towards her on her left side. Jane said she felt very cold, Jim allowed himself to go back in to trance. Tracie started to cry a little as she could feel him trying to get to her. Jim later said he was looking for someone other than the mother, someone he had liked, Tracie said she expected it was her father.
Jane takes over and starts asking questions:
Question: "Who are you?" Answer: No reply given.
Question: "Why are you a bully" Still no answer given.
Question: "Who are you looking for?" Answer: "Mother"
Question: "What was your mother's name?" Answer: "Alice"
Question: "Do you miss your mother?" Answer: "No"
Question: "Why not?" Answer: "Nasty"
Question: "Why, what did she do to you?" Answer: "Locked me away in the cupboard"
Question: "Why, were you naughty?" Answer: "No" Jim then starts to laugh.
Question: "Why are you laughing? There is no answer.
Question: "Did your mother hit you?" Answer: "Yes, and I hit her back" He then laughs some more.
Question: "That's not nice. Did you hurt your mother" Answer: "Yes" Later Jim said he felt as if he wanted to put his hands around Jane's throat.
Quite a few of the group started getting stomach pains. Jim said he was in pain just below the waist. Some of the others said that the best way to describe the pain was it like "Period Pains"
Question: "Did you try and push Tracie's mother down the stairs?" Answer: "Yes"
Question: "Did you kill your mother?" Answer: "Yes"
Question: "Do you want forgiveness? No answer given.
Question: "Do you want your mother to come for you?" Still no answer given.
Question: "Is this why you are such a bully?" Again no answer.
Question: "Is it you that has been causing the problems here and making all the noise to scare people?" Answer: "Yes"
"Your mother will forgive you"
Jim was now trying to pull away from the circle, there was a feeling that he was now nervous, but the team kept him there.
The spirit then moved away from Jim and tried to affect other members of the circle. Jane said she could feel someone right in front of her. She continued by saying that it was a very strange feeling, like someone trying to part you down the middle, but she felt very protected. Jim called for the help of the group and his guilds and we were able to cross the spirit over. Jim said he had not been part of the house and felt he had been brought to the house. Tracie said she could understand that and how it may have happened.
Jim was asked if there was anything about the father, he said he felt the father was treated in the same way. We had another break then decided to double check the place out. We started back in the master bedroom, where it felt different, so much so that Jim was able to pick up on a private message for Tracie, giving her evidence she needed.
We returned to the other bedroom and sat on the beds. Jim said he was still getting the young boy. Tracie said she had felt this boy before. Jim then went on to discuss this boy that he was seeing. He gave Tracie evidence that this little boy was actually her brother who had passed before her birth. Tracie was able to confirm a number of things that Jim said and we would like to point out that Jim had never met Tracie before tonight.
We left the house feeling happy that we had found the problem. Some of the noises were down to the house, but many things we felt were down to this unfriendly spirit.
We feel happy to close this case, but as always ready to return should there be a problem.
