Private House Investigation - Egham

This house had a number of strange unexplained happenings which was worrying the host Linda, which prompted her to contact us to investigate and help her out. When entering the lounge she told us that the curtains adorning the window would always be slightly open when she came down in the morning. She assured us that when she closed fully each evening. Jim did notice that when you brushed past them they would open ever so slightly. However, when investigating the bedroom curtains, which she also said would be open slightly in the morning, brushing past them did not open them. Jim tried it several times and they remained shut.
Linda then explained that the sensor lights on the landing kept coming on during the night, this occurred quite regularly. Although they had a dog, it did not come upstairs and there were no cats. They would be in their bedrooms with the door shut and these lights would just come on.
She continued by saying that there were times also when she felt like someone bending over her whilst in bed. Jim asked if she had felt that someone had got into bed with her, she replied "Yes sometime ago".
Jim had been to the house before to carry out a reading and did noticed that one part of the lounge seemed dead. That was the only way he could describe it, there was no feelings, no atmosphere, nothing. When the team arrived and entered the lounge he asked for them to stand in this particular area and asked them their opinions.
Mac, Jane, Lyn and Dawn all thought the same; it was hard to explain the feelings on this part of the room. Linda also mentioned that the TV in this room has on occasion turned on by its self, with no one being near it and the remote control on the coffee table.
The team visited other rooms within the house and came to the conclusion that the main places to investigate were the downstairs spare bedroom and the main bedroom upstairs. Jim confirmed that he was unable to detect anything negative in the house.

Linda's House
Those present: Jim, Jane, Mac, Sue, Claire, Lyn, Dawn, host Linda and her daughter Sally
The team began their investigation in the dining room next to the lounge. Jim picked up a smell of tobacco and as one smoked in the house this was odd. He asked the spirit person to come forward and make them self known. He could feel the presence of an older male and he believed he would come and go often. Some members of the team heard a popping noise and where not able to determine what it could have been. Jane said she felt as though she was swaying. Nothing further occured and they then moved into the spare bedroom located next to this room.
They started with a séance and Jim allowed the spirit present to channel through him. He started talking about his bike and appeared to be looking for it.
Jane asked "How old are you?" he replied "Old enough to be your father"
Mac the asked "What's you name?" the spirit responded "Fag"
Question: "You can have one in a minute. Where are you going on your bike?" Answer: "Home"
Jim starts fiddling with his hand and looks like he is putting on a cap. Mac asks "What's wrong?" Answer: "I want a fag"
Question: "Do you live here?" Answer: "No, work, cold"
Question: "Why are you so cold?"
Jim then begins to rub his arms.
Question: "What's wrong with your arm?" Answer: "Cold"
Question: "What work did you do here?" Answer: "Sweep"
Question: "What is your name?" Answer: "Harry"
Question: "Are you on your own?" Answer: "No"
Question: "Who else is here?" No answer is given
Jane then asks "If he would like to move on" He replies "That he is lonely"
After a short time the team we able to send Harry on his way and the room atmosphere changed to warmth and homely. Jim then returns back from his trance.
Upstairs Bedroom
The team were able to establish the possible cause of the sensor lights coming on. It appeared that any movement within a few feet of being inside the bedroom door would set them off. Several attempts of moving arms or walking around within the bedroom showed each time the lighting coming on.
Within the main bedroom the team formed a circle and called out. A few member had the urge just to jump on the bed, but for no apparent reason, perhaps it just looked too comfortable. Mac informs everyone that she believed she had just seen a dark shadow move at the back of the room. A noise is then heard and is asked to be repeated again for clarification. Some of team believed that it was, but other did not. Another noise is heard and they were unable to locate the origin, it could have been a number of normal sounds.
Shortly afterwards Jim again went into a trance and channeled the spirit present. He started to try and walk past the team, they were unsure what he was trying to do and at one point it looked like he was going to be sick over the bed. Jane then asked "Why do you come here to this room?" He then walks back around the room and stands looking over the bed as though he was looking at someone sleeping. Jim then starts to pace the floor, but so far he has said nothing. Jane continues to ask the same question with no response and Jim returns back from his trance.
Jane explains to him what he has been doing. Jim recollected that this gentleman was very proud, tall and slim. There was definately a regimental feeling about him, as though he was in charge of something. Jim was told that the person in the bed that this gentleman is looking at, is someone close to him. He is concerned over them, this is a loved one who is very sick. The team feel coldness in the room. Jim says "There is a child that goes all ove the house, a young child".
It is felt that help is needed for this gentleman to try and cross him over and ask Linda to lie on the bed in the same position that she normally sleeps. They start another séance calling out for the gentleman to return to them. Mac, Jane and some of team members say that they feel very hot, much hotter then before. At the point the spirit channels through Jim again and he begins to walk back and forth beside the side of the bed, stopping and looking at Linda when he approaches her head. Nothing is said and it takes sometime before he leaves and moves on.
When Jim returns back from his trance he feels a little sad, but glad that he was able to move the gentleman on. He was unsure if it was his wife or mother who was ill, but he was able to see a lady who had long grey hair and perhaps in her late fifty's, wearing a long dark nightdress. Whom ever it was, they appeared in the doorway. He believed the man himself was either late fifty's or early sixty's. Jim was not able to confirm why this man was at Linda house, but as Linda worked in an old people's home he could have a connection there. She has been involved with many a parting patient and she said "That there was one lady that could fit the description", but we had nothing to go by and it could be easy to say that one was waiting for the other one. This particular mystery would have to be left open as no evidence could be found to indicate where this gentleman had come from.
For the sake of the family the rest of this investigation remains between them. It’s been a couple of weeks now and everything is fine in the home, we will continue to check with Linda
