The Royal Hippodrome opened in 1883 as the New Theatre Royal and Opera House. It changed to the Royal Hippodrome in 1904 following refurbishments. Reputted to have many Spirits still active with the theatre and well known for paranormal activity.

Team 1 Investigation
Stage, Back stage, and Ground floor areas – Vigil 1
Pia picked up on a sad energy coming from the box to the left of the stage. The gentleman is around 68 years of age and he would come and watch. Jim agreed and felt he would have been a regular to the theatre. Jim pointed out that it had started to go very cold in this area.
Pia mentions that this man was either connected to or just liked one of the acts - a dancer. Jim adds a back up dancer. Pia continues that he would have been there most nights, he was sad and lonely. Jim said he felt that this gentleman either passed away here or died soon after being here. He loved being here; it was like a second home to him. Pia feels that he died here and that there is so much sadness around this box area. She feels he may of had a love interest and never got round to doing anything about it.
Jim then saw someone going across the stage; this was a female who seemed to walk from left to right across the stage. He added that she would have been a showgirl and the gentleman would have thought of her like a daughter.
Dawn says she thought she saw someone on the stage, like a shadow, at this point the tape picks up a voice which is in 3 parts. First sounds like “I am moved”, “I ain’t coming back”. The third part is hard to make out t1evp1. There are more sounds but they are too unclear to make out what is being said. You can hear each EVP by clicking on the speaker below.

Jim and Dawn hear a noise to the right of the stage; Jim says he feels the need to go on the stage at this point. Pia is being drawn to the back of the stage. Dawn suddenly feels something touch her arm. Jim calls out to spirit to come forward; he then says he feels like he wants to cry. Pia agrees and says she feels very sad around this part of the stage.
Pia calls out to spirit, “Are you close to the right?” another noise is the heard. She then picks up on s someone who is older and does not want to come out. The team say they all feel very cold now around this spot including Pia and Jim, but then it started to feel warmer. Jim starts a circle and ask the spirit who touched Dawn to come forward. He picks up on someone nearby and says that he is not very happy. He then feels like he has been pushed and was told by the male spirit that he (the spirit) was an outcast.
Question: “Why were you outcast?” Jim says he was an act here and was laughed at. Not in the way you would laugh at a comedian, people thought he was stupid. Jim says he is now picking up on someone who he felt earlier - she is a young girl, but he did not see her as a performer.
The team now decide to set up the Ouija board backstage. Once the board was opened Jim called out for any spirit there to come forward and make themselves known to us by moving the glass. The glass now moves across the board towards Dawn, or the letter R.
Question: “Are you a male?” The glass keeps moving without giving an answer.
Question: “Are you trying to talk to Alison?” Answer: No movement.
Question: “Are you female?” The glass moves to the letter C, W
Question: “Please give us the first letter of your name” Answer: “R”
The glass then moves to random letters and Jim stops it because it was making no sense.
The glass moves to 2, J, 3
The team tried again as it was thought that whomever it was coming though was just mucking around.
Question: “Are you a male, if so move the glass towards a male here, if you’re female more toward one of the females” The glass moves towards Ron.
Question: “Thank you, can you please confirm you are a male?” Answer: “Yes”
Question: “Thank you”, before Jim could continue asking the question the glass moved back to the letter R, “Is R a letter of your name?” Answer: “ NO”
Question: “Can you give me the initial of your first name?” Answer: “R”.

Question: “Can you give us the second letter of your first name?” Answer: “O”
Question: “Can you give us the 3rd letter of your first name?” Answer: “W” (ROW)

Pia said she had felt a presence of a man, aged around 68 “Was that you?” Answer: “98”

Dawn calls out and gets a cold breeze across her arm, the sounds of deep breathing is again heard, along with other noises. Dawn calls out again and demonstrates the noise they heard, she asks for it to be repeated, which they do not hear, but it is heard on tape t1evp5.
Jim and Pia are drawn towards to the stage again, with the feeling of a man being with them.
Jim stands beneath the ropes, and has the feeling of someone hanging; he says there is a man standing up there looking down. He asks Pia if she could feel anything, she agrees that she felt a man died here, but not sure if it was done on purpose, but had strong connections with the ropes here. Jim had the feeling of something not right about it all, and wondered if something had been covered up.
Alison is gets a man with dark hair, pointed nose and in a top hat that was not very nice. She feels he is playing games and now gone to the back. Rob got the name Phillip when he was with Jim and Pia. Pia also got the name Sarah James, who may have been on the stage, and the number 64, from the back of the room.
Jim said he has the feeling that they are playing with us, following us, hiding from us, playing peek-a-boo and even copying us.
Middle Floor – Vigil 2
Nat is using the Dowsing rod in row D. As she moves down the row and comes to seat 10 the roads cross themselves. When she moves away they uncross, she repeats this exercise with the same effect.
In the box on the right hand side, Jim says the gentleman they picked up on downstairs is with them, he is following them around; he is a bit of a ladies’ man.
Dawn asks Jim to describe him. Jim says he is wearing something around his neck, like a collar and tie, or a cravat. Jim asks Pia if she can feel anything, she says she thinks he is wearing a cravat and they both agree on a smart jacket. Pia says he may have a moustache. Jim says he has a longish face and a hat. Dawn asks what sort of hat. Jim says a top hat. Dawn stops Jim at this point and tells him that’s what the other team member picked up, and he had a pointed nose, and a narrow face.
Dawn tells them about the rods pointing towards row D. There was a draft that was coming and going. Rob felt someone was following him from the box. Jim asks the others to join in a séance. Pia says that there is defiantly someone following us around.
Jim calls out and there is a noise heard, but not repeated. Jim feels someone around and calls for them to come closer. He adds that this person with him is a male who is lonely and sad. At this point Jim feels very emotional and his back is hurting.
Dawn asks “Is there anyone with us?” Jim says yes. He gets a name Baxter, and starts to communicate with him by allowing Baxter to talk though him. The voice the team hear from Jim is now a softer voice.
Dawn thanks Baxter for coming though and asks if he can tell us more about himself.
Baxter says Theatre. Dawn asks “Did you come here to watch?”
Baxter says there were, but the rest could not be understood form the tape.
Question: “Did you come here often?” Answer: “Yes”
Question: “Did you come on your own?” Answer: “Always”
Baxter says something which sounds like trains or trams, but unclear.
Question: “Why are you here?” Answer: “Theatre, Waiting?”
Question: “Waiting for whom?” No answer was given.
Question: “Is that you that is following us around?” Answer: “No, not all the time”
Question: “Are there other’s here?” Answer: “Many”
Question: “Is there anything you want to tell us?” Answer: “Yes be careful upstairs”
Baxter is thanked for coming though, he also says thank you.
Question: “Have you met Molly?” Answer: “You want her?”
Question: “Is she here now?” No answer is given.
Baxter decides to go and Jim comes back.
Pia and Jim in row D.
Pia sits on seat 10, Jim sits on seat 12. Jim gets a bad pain in his chest it feels like something crushing his chest.
Pia says this is to do with the spirit that has been following them and the one he made contact with earlier. She says he has a breathing problem and he may have a cloak. Jim says he can see what looks like a collar turned up. He feels lonely and it was if he was waiting for someone to come on the stage, but didn’t know anything about a Molly, the man also had a stick with him.
Jim says he thinks he was dying when he came to the theatre, but did not die there. Pia agrees as she was feeling the same. Jim said he loved it here and came to see Molly or whoever it was. Jim says it feels like they are playing with us, Pia said she felt the same downstairs.
Dawn asks do you think there is more than one spirit with us. Jim says yes, there is someone watching us from the rear, Pia says she felt it in the bar area.
Bar area.
The team try the Ouija board. Jim and Dawn call out.
Jim starts tapping; he says he wants two fingers - two fingers of scotch. Jim says he has a gentleman here that would have performed here, he was an intelligent man. He would have come in here had a quick two fingers, walk in, drink it right down and then leave. He felt it was a regular thing he did.
After calling out several times the team feels nothing around; whatever was there was not there now.
Box C
Jim picks up a more hostile spirit. “What are you doing here, leave me alone” was what he was getting. This man was much shorter than any previous males they had encountered. Pia feels there is someone standing near her just outside the box.
The sound of breathing is heard again by Alison; Pia asks if it’s the little girl we have been picking up. The team try the Ouija board again; a noise is heard, but not repeated, after a while a clicking noise is heard, again not repeated when asked. There is a very slight movement on the glass. There are a number of noises heard by the team, but nothing to confirm it was from spirit. The temperature was up and down, again nothing to say it was spirit doing this. Dawn says she can see what looks like a ring of blue dots; unfortunately no one else could see this.
The team then moved to the box on the other side of the Theatre.
Jim has the dowsing rods and calls out. He asks the spirits to point to where they are standing, the right hand rod turns to Jim’s right.
Question: “Are you here with us in the box?” The rods crossed, indicating yes.
Question: “Can you show us where you are using the rods?” They point to the far corner of the box.
Question: “If you are there in the corner can you please cross the rods?” The rods cross.
Question: “Are you a male spirit?” Answer: “Yes”
Question: “Are you the gentleman who we had earlier, are you Baxter?” Answer: “No”
Question: “Are you the short gentleman who was following us around?” Answer: “Yes”
Question: “Are you Mr H?” Answer: “Yes”
Question: “Can you tell us what H stands for?” Answer: “No”
Question: “Can you touch one of us?” Answer: “Yes”
Question: “Can you give someone a push?” Answer: “Yes”, but nothing happens.
The glass then moved on the board when asked if male or female, the glass moved very slowly and slightly.
Top Floor – Vigil 3
On the way up to the top floor, on the final set of stairs Rob and Nat both feel that someone was pulling them both.
The Rehearsal Room
Jim and Pia were picking up on the same things as soon as they entered the room. They felt the room had been used for sex, girls brought here for one purpose, to be used. Jim also felt there was a man in the corner watching and not that friendly. Both were drawn to a small room that was off the small passage way that led from the main room. Pia picked up on a lost baby here, she feels nervous about going into this room.
Pia says there is a lot of unhappiness in the room, sadness, and sorrow. She adds that the woman didn’t want to be pregnant. Jim says the woman didn’t want to be here and she was hidden away from everybody. Pia felt that the loss of the child was not an accident. Jim added he felt it was a self inflicted abortion to lose the child, as abortions were not legal at the time she was pregnant. He has been told that she used a knitting needle.
Pia sees lots of blood in this room, nearer the window in the right hand corner, she says this woman may have committed suicide, Jim agrees with this. Pia continues that there is a lot of regret from her; she was very cold when she was here. Jim says she was left alone.
Pia says that there was fabric that would have been used in the theatre connected with this woman which was back in the rehearsal room. Jim says he is not picking up anything evil, but there was nothing innocent in this room. He says there would have been gambling, strippers, prostitutes and it would have been a private thing. Pia says this woman didn’t have a choice, Jim says he feels she may have been raped, Pia agrees.
Jim says he does not see her as a street girl he feels she may have worked there and got mixed up in something she shouldn’t. There would have been an adult theme, but he gets a sickening feeling when he looks at the photos of children on the walls. He feels there may have been underage things going on. He is not sure if the woman was underage, but she would not have fully known what she was getting into.
Jim suggests forming a circle. They start the séance with Jim calling out to the young woman who had lost the baby, Jim tells her it’s safe for her to come out of the room. Pia says she felt someone touch her forehead. Jim asks if she would like to talk to one of the females rather than him, as he felt she might not trust him.
Pia now calls for her to enter the circle, and she begins to talk though Pia, she tells us her name is Emily. Jim tries to talk to Emily, but gets no response, and suggests she talks to one of the ladies, Emily replies “Yes”

Jim takes over here and asks Emily to let him help her, Emily says OK.
Jim asks if her baby is with her, she replies “No”
“Has your baby already gone to the light?” She says “Yes”
Jim calls upon the spirits to come forward and help Emily cross over.
The room goes colder and seems very quite.
“Can you see the light Emily?” “Yes” she replies.
“Can you see your baby?” She says “Yes”
Jim asks Emily to walk towards to the light and says goodbye. Jim asks Pia if she is OK and to make sure she had returned to us, and she was fine. Jim asked if anyone else had heard noises, which some had. Whilst the séance had been taking place there had been a number of noises coming from outside the room in the hallway, it was as if someone was stomping around.
The team decide to stop the circle as nothing else was happening and go to the hall way outside. The team notice a small door that led to under the seating, this was now open, all were sure this was shut when they came out of the room. The team return to the room where the baby was left. Pia said it felt different now, Dawn asked if it felt happier, Jim said not happy you could never make this a happy room, but it was different now.
Pia thought she heard a scraping along the wall. She said it could not be known that she was here; it was if Emily had been with someone who was well known. Pia believes that although Emily said she was 18, she was much younger. Dawn said she was getting the name Marie. Rob says he can hear noises back in the rehearsal room, or outside, like a bang or a scrape. The team start another séance outside in the hall between the two doors. Jim sees a spirit light go across the hall at the far end.
Dawn calls out, but Jim stops the circle as he is picking up a negative spirit and checks with the team before he continues, he then asked Dawn to call out again. Again the team hear noises, and bang. Jim felt that this man was very strong and nasty, so he pushed him back. Jim said he was very intimidating and was use to doing this to others.
Jim says he is feeling sick and he starts to squeeze the hands of others next to him. Dawn checks to see if he is OK, Jim says he is trying to break the circle. Pia is also starting to feel the affect of this male spirit. Jim feels that this spirit wants him to lash out at the others. Dawn calls out again, then asks are you with Jim now.
Jim talks in a much deeper and firmer voice “what do you want?”
“We just want to know who you are; do you want to talk to someone else?” Through Jim the spirit replies “No”
Jim feels he is very strong, and stops the circle, because of the fear of lashing out.
As the team moves from here and goes down some stairs, Pia says that the team is being followed. They decide to return and try some table tipping, Jim explains how it works, and calls out. There is only a very slight movement, which could have been one of the team. Jim says the nasty spirit is back, and trying to get back with Jim.
Jim stops the session; he says he feels that it’s time to stop.
Team 2 Investigation
Middle Floor - Vigil 1
Kevin picks up on a man who wants to show them around; happy sort of guy. A team member says she can feel something in her face and sees shadows. Kevin says he is getting the name James Thomas, and this is a little boy. Kevin says he was named after royalty. His family is not from around here his mother was not on the stage but worked behind the scenes.
Kevin says James did not die here, but much later in life and he comes back here because he had such good times here, good memories. The Bar
After entering this area Jane asks Kevin if he is picking up on anything. He says that he can smell cigar smoke; he adds this is a very busy area with lots of movement and lots of energy here. He adds that people would hear things from within this room.
Kevin continues by says that something don’t seem right, the lay out or something not as it should be. He then begins to feel dizzy, but was not picking up on any one in particular. Kevin then says he has just gone really cold in this area, he says the bar does not feel right there. The team then moved out to the seating area.
Kevin calls out again and Sheila gets the name Alfred. Kevin says he is still feeling dizzy because of the amount of activity. A noise is heard by the team and they ask for the noise to be repeated again. Mac says she can see something near Kevin’s head, she says in front of her. Kevin says that James had been a little naughty hetook sweets before. They decide to leave a couple of sweets and take a before and after photo, the after photo shows they have been moved, but can’t be 100% sure another team did not move them. Jane says she is getting a cold breeze on her left hand, again shadows are seen by more than one of the team.
The team tries table tipping. Kevin calls out for anyone to come forward and touch or move the table, after a while he says there is something on the left side of the table. Mac says she can feel a very slight vibrating, but nothing more.
The team decide to try the manager’s office. Jane asks if anyone is getting anything, Kevin says he is getting a very large balding gentleman, who is quite angry. Jane asks is he angry because we are in his office? No, he was very unhappy because some women were doing a more important job than he was doing, something like a committee or membership. Jane says he sounds like a sexist pig; Kevin says it’s just the way he was. Kevin has asked for his name, but he wants him to call him Sir.
Jane calls out to him to come forward. Kevin says he replied “How dare you, because you called him a pig”, Jane says sorry. Kevin says he looked older than what he is, perhaps late forties. Kevin is not sure why he came though so strong, as he’s not very active here. He says he want to talk to Jim, not sure if he means Jim the other medium, as he is more the age group. He does not talking about his wife, Jane asks did she die here, Kevin says she wasn’t from this area. He was well educated, he was collage educated, this was the first time managing a theatre, he wasn’t successful Kevin says he was quite rude.
The name Roger is given to one of the group. Mac calls out asking Roger to confirm it by doing something like make a noise. Kevin says he blames one of the acts, Jane asks ‘blames them for what’ the poor years. Kevin adds he is very well spoken.
The team form a circle, Kevin again asks the spirit to touch one of them, after a short time Jane says she is getting very cold, really cold. Kevin keeps the energy going in the circle. Jane starts to get upset and becomes very emotional. Kevin tells the spirit to move away from Jane, Mac sees a flash of light near the door which is shut. The team all go very cold, then it seems to move away. Kevin later tells Jane that the male spirit was nose to nose with Jane.
Top Floor - Vigil 2
The Rehearsal Room
Kevin conducts a séance, he explains to the team to do an old fashion séance. Kevin says he is picking up something about the room, he says that sex would have taken place here, lots of sex. Kevin then calls out.
Some of the team are feeling a slight vibration on their hands; Jane says she is starting to go cold now. One of the guys says he feels like something is touching his cheek and arm. Everyone now starts to feel very cold. Mac hears a noise.
Kevin is now picking up on a female he says that she would have been a bit player, a minor parts on stage, and a dancer. She was promised a larger roll if she slept with this man and she believed him, he was a lot older than she was. She was born during the war, she was told that she would have to keep doing it, and it happened in what is now the rehearsal room. Jane asks if anyone else is picking anything up.
Kevin says she was about 18 and died in a car accident away from the theatre. He continues by saying what happened between her and this man, nobody knew about. Jane asks Kevin if he has a name for her. Kevin says it’s sad she never had a mother to talk too as she died young, and she had no father; Jane speaks out and says she can come to her if she wants.
Jane says she feels like someone is touching the hair on the back of her neck, like someone is gently pulling it. She asks the spirit for her name. Jane again calls out asking for her name, she then asks the girl “Do you want us to help you?”

He couldn’t see properly, but he was a jolly guy who made things the best he could. Everyone called him Jack, but it wasn’t his birth name. Some people were friendly to him, but others were not, they mocked him, but he gave as good as he got. He never married, but he would go to the theatre come rain or shine. It was in its time a very grand theatre.

Kevin is drawn to the ropes that hang down behind the stage, the team hear a noise. Jane says a cobweb keeps touching her face. Kevin says that he felt there was someone looking down from above the stage. He wants to go to the front of the stage and make people laugh, this is a male spirit making him feel this way, he would have been in his time, a warm up act and he had a problem with his leg, his left leg which stopped him doing more. Jane asks if he is getting a name for this gentleman, Kevin says he is getting MM, and the first name is Michael.
The team now try the Ouija board; the glass moved indicating that someone is there. Jane calls out for the spirit to give the first initial of their name. The letter D is given.

Kevin was now picking up a gentleman who would have been an entertainer; he was loved by those who knew him. He was copying Kevin like a mimic, following him around, may have something to do with a French company.

Team 3 Investigation
Before the investigations took place we all had a tour of the theatre. Tracie picked up on a short man in a pink tutu who was prancing comically back and forth across the stage. He was spotted in the same area from various view points throughout the evening. The spot downstairs near to the toilets Jim kept getting pulled back to, which was the same spot where Charles later got the Usher guy. Finding the seat number Charles had, the Usher told him he wouldn't be happy with a particular seat number he'd been given was amazing as when found, it was right behind a pillar which completely blocked the view of the stage.

Bob asks the team to sit quite for a while to get the feel of the room and to see if anything can pick up. Tracie began to picking up on a man n the corner of the room. He needs to be known; she describes him as wearing a black or dark cloak and all his other clothes are also in black. She says he does a lot of watching on the goings on of the place.
Bob calls out to see if there is anyone there. Tracie confirms that there is someone here. Bob asks the spirits to come closer and says he has gone cold and has the shivers. There was an uncomfortable feeling in the room.
As the tape was unclear at times, Tracie was kind enough to provide a written report of the main parts of the night.
“The first major thing I got was upstairs in the rehearsal room. Straight away I could see a guy in the far left corner side of the room pacing back and forth, stopping briefly before changing direction to tap his black cane with the silver top on the floor. He'd stand still briefly before continuing each time. It didn't feel like a walking cane, rather that of a statement/fashion piece, and Charles came out with the feeling of a top hat at the same time and before I could give the same description too, but we were clearly picking up on the same gentleman. He was dressed in black. Every time I sat down he was behind me, giving me an uneasy feeling of wanting to stand up immediately every time, being shown the type of authoritarian figure he was at the time. I didn't get the feeling he was part of the rehearsals themselves, rather someone who would just go in occasionally to make his presence very much felt. I also picked up on two words separately; James and Scott. I wasn't sure if this was one full name or two separates, or a name and description, but James and Scott were clear”.
“We had also picked up on the room at the other end, the first room on the left within the rehearsal room. There was the distinct feeling of residual energy there, of someone waiting behind the door to jump out on people. When I looked behind the door, there was indeed a nice corner gap where someone could easily have hidden. Charles was also picking up something though I'm not sure if it was in that room or the one next to it.
Later when I asked Dave our Host about the man with the cane and gave the full description of him, his response was to grin and say; "you're joking!"...when I said that I wasn't and asked what he meant by that, he said "You've just described the guy to a T that gets reported a lot in there"
Corridor outside Rehearsal Room
The team place an EMF meter, and cameras around a small door which leads under the seating. There are no locks or latches on the door, but they noticed it was open when they came out of the rehearsal room.
Having made sure the door was shut it was again found to be open. What had opened this door? Was it paranormal activity or vibration with people walking around? This was to happen again with one of the other teams. Bob went up to the auditorium to see if his actions could cause the door to open, but it didn’t.
As the team make their way to the next place on the top floor, two sounds could be heard on the tape (HAY) and (COME HERE) (t3evp1). You can also hear someone say (A little old lady). There are other sounds which cannot be made out and also what sounds like someone making a deep breath.
Before the investigations took place we all had a tour of the theatre. Tracie picked up on a short man in a pink tutu who was prancing comically back and forth across the stage. He was spotted in the same area from various view points throughout the evening. The spot downstairs near to the toilets Jim kept getting pulled back to, which was the same spot where Charles later got the Usher guy. Finding the seat number Charles had, the Usher told him he wouldn't be happy with a particular seat number he'd been given was amazing as when found, it was right behind a pillar which completely blocked the view of the stage.
Top Floor - Vigil 1

Bob says he heard a bang, this could have been a door, but unsure, he also saw a shadow go around the balcony area.

Bob says he sees people standing on the stairs, he along with one of the other team members see a white shadow on the left hand side of the stairs ¾ of the way up. Tracie says she still picking up on a spirit called Robin. She feels that his death was very quick, here one minute gone the next. Thoughts were drawn to a car accident maybe or something that happened outside. Charles says he is picking up a man who would have helped people to their seats. He says all he is getting is “Tickets, Tickets, Tickets” this is all the man would do as part of his job.

Tracie said she could feel the guy with the tutu again, a very comical figure that’d prance from one side to the other, and it was the third time she had seen him since we had arrived. She feels he is similar to someone she has seen, but can’t place him. Having listened to the EVP we feel the voice belongs to this guy.
Written report by Tracie
“It was frustrating not being able to cross the laser beams that had been set out in the middle of the stage, from the edge of it and back up to the steps that I could not cross. I had the urge to copy exactly what he was doing, like it was being impressed on me and that I would have been able to give a better picture to the others of (and probably highly embarrassed myself at the same time)”
“As we were on the stage, the feeling changed and I began to pick up on someone else altogether. At that point I wasn't sure if someone had taken a drop from above or whether someone had dropped something that resulted in serious injury and was drawn right to a particular spot within the laser beams on the stage. The spirit was very much present and not just residual and I could feel the anger and frustration building up with him not being able to show me the exact spot. It had got so bad that I actually had to sit down and ask my guides to pull him back a bit for a while as it was really starting to affect me and my own mood. I was also able to describe what this guy was also impressing on me, and that was how his eyes were darting quickly from section to section across the stage like he was frantically looking for someone”.
The team now go back stage, and Bob calls out, nothing was occurring so they decided to start on the Ouija board.
Someone says they feel they were touched as they started the board. Charles asked for evidence that someone was there by asking them to move the glass. Susie then calls out, the team feel that the cameras are a problem and turn them off. Charles calls out again for the spirits to move the glass.
“Do you want us to leave?”
After a while the glass moves towards X
Susie asks them to talk to them; did they want them to leave?
“Should we go to the ropes?” Answer: “Yes”
“Do you feel responsible for someone being hurt?” No response
“Did you kill someone?”
“Did you cover it up to look like an accident?”
“Is there someone else here now?” Answer: “3”
“Can you give us an initial of your name? “
“Did you plan to murder this guy and it did not work?”
“Do you know if the person died as a result of this?”
“Did you have the intent to take that life?”
“Do you feel responsible about what happened?”
“Can we talk to the victim?”
“Was anyone punished for the incident?” “No”
At one point it went to 10. Charles feels this is a roman numeral and has a flash of a rope. It was at this point that Tracie felt she was practically being dragged back onto the stage again becoming increasing agitated or rather, taking on this guy’s agitation who was really trying to show her a 'spot. The most she could do was point up to the exact spot rather than stand directly under it and the distinct feeling that someone else had been involved, though not necessarily intentionally. They took note of the positioning and went upstairs to see if they could find X. It was right in front of the door as you went in and was holding up a particular rope. They followed the rope to see what it was holding - and it was holding up the pole of the exact spot that Tracie had been pointing to while on the stage itself - right in between the laser beams. The X from the Ouija board matched up with the rope.
The energy on that particular rope was seriously strong. The moment any of team (they took it in turns) wrapped their fingers around it, the grip was getting tighter and tighter. The closest Tracie could liken it to be was similar to receiving an electric shock. The way you tense and clamp up, first the fingers, the hands, the wrists, the rest of the arms, getting tighter and tighter. They tried other ropes and they just felt like regular ropes, it was just that particular one and everyone who tried it experienced the same thing along with the feeling of pure emotion head wise.
The team went under the stage, not much happened here except Susie had her hair touched a couple of times.
On the first floor bar area they tried the Ouija board again.. There were unexplained EMF readings here. Tracie picked up on a woman. She said that she suddenly felt exhausted as did most people in the room at that point. The spirit energy wasn't very strong, though everyone in the room felt she was trying really hard.
Charles and Bob make a noise and ask the lady to copy it, there were certainly a couple of well timed tappy/clinky noises behind the bar area itself that came in reply to this. Tracie got the impression that this was a woman who lived for the theatre. She had the distinct feeling that she had taken part in performances, and when she wasn't performing she was watching them instead, and she enjoyed a good tipple or two!
Tracie gradually started to feel 'tipsy'. At first she wasn't sure if this was her own tiredness and possibly her own anaemia kicking in, but as they moved out into the seating area the feeling was becoming more prominent.
Seating Area
They sat down left/centre of the row. Tracie had a flash that really caught her off guard and quite upset her. As she glanced at the stage she had flashbacks of the guy who'd been hung from near the lights. It appeared he was showing her from another angle, the way he'd been darting his eyes round looking for someone to help in what were his choking moments. It was around this time that she was suddenly hit by small but incredibly icy cold spots. Shelley and Carl both followed her lead and placed their hands, waving through the spot very slowly so that they too, could feel the very significant differences between temperatures in that area.
Following this the team moved on when Tracie suddenly stopped after hearing something round the back of the seating again in the long walkway behind it. She relayed this to the others and it was at this point they walked round to check and discovered that the door we'd had the camera on had opened itself by in inch or so.
She could also feel the woman with her. Tracie felt she played no part in that the door moving. As they were making their way downstairs Tracie began to feel drunk again and she was staggering. At one point she almost keeled over which made her chuckle to herself. The chuckling grew the further they went, until she had a fit of the giggles and she was doing everything possible to stop herself from falling over with laughter. A very funny personal highlight for her. Tracie said she would have loved to have stayed longer in order to find out more about the spirit lady, but unfortunately the group had to wrap up for the night.
Conclusion
Dave (the host of the Hippodrome Theatre) was able to confirm the man hanging above the stage. He told Tracie that a guy had fallen; he got tangled up in a curtain and basically hung himself. Charles had the feeling that someone else had been responsible for it, while Tracie’s feeling was similar, but from this particular guy’s point of view - he was not taking responsibility for what had happened to him. At the end of the night when the lasers had been removed Tracie was able to stand on the exact spot for the first time, the feeling changed to one that was tremendously peaceful and the very clear words "thank you" were given. The whole evening had been worth it for Tracie personally, for that one moment of utter peacefulness and a feeling of 'release'.
Dave also confirmed the man with a cane, he was a well know sighting at the theatre. All three of the mediums had picked up the man on the stage. Tracie said he was wearing a tutu. Kevin said he was following him around like a mime artist, Jim also felt he was being followed around the stage by him, describing him as a very funny man prancing about and he loved being there and adored performing.

At the end of the night Kevin asked all the females to go on stage. The reason being was to help Sarah the young female spirit who was grounded here. The majority oblige while the men sat in the audience.
They formed a séance and Jane calls out to her. After a time Kevin and Jim tells the group that she is with them. She walks around the back of the circle and to the centre, the men clap her as promised and Kevin says she has now passed over. This was quite an emotional time for some, but a very rewarding.
Dawn at the end tells that she saw a young lady with dark hair who was very attractive walking down towards the stage, Kevin confirms this was Sarah.

What a night, the best I have ever been too and I have been too many now. The activity was nonstop from the time we started. Between us we were able to help two female spirits to cross over and the amount of EVP’s is just amazing. Can’t wait to go back.

Nothing has been changed other than reducing the size and removing known sounds. These voices were not heard on the night, and they have been captured by all three teams. We always record an investigation, no different to this night, but never before have we picked up so much.
Are they voices of the dead reaching out to us, well you will have to make up your own minds, I know some of you will say its other members of the teams, or we faked it, well I know it was not either of these, and we have nothing to gain from these tapes.
Noises
There were lots of noises and different sounds picked up by all three teams, and we accept that some of these can be explained. We were in an old building, at night, all very quiet, so sound does travel. Of course we have to think about the heat, the cold, and any heating that was on in the building, but I must say there were some strange sounds that night.
